Lakeside Cottage Retreat — House Rules We want you to relax, enjoy the lake, and make wonderful memories during your stay! Please review these house rules before booking. By completing your reservation, you agree to follow these rules and are responsible for ensuring that everyone in your group follows them as well. Guests & Occupancy Only guests included on the reservation are permitted to stay overnight at the property. Please do not exceed the maximum occupancy of the home. Visitors who are not included on the reservation must be approved by the host in advance. Parties, large gatherings, and unauthorized events are not permitted. No Parties or Events Parties, receptions, large gatherings, or events are not allowed without prior written approval from the host. Quiet Hours Please be considerate of our neighbors and keep outdoor noise to a reasonable level. Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. During quiet hours, please keep music, conversations, and other outdoor activities at a level that cannot be heard from neighboring properties. Also be mindful noise carries across the lake. Smoking & Vaping Smoking or vaping of any kind is not permitted inside the home. Please do not throw cigarette butts on the property, in the yard, or into the lake. Illegal Activity Illegal drugs and illegal activity of any kind are prohibited on the property. Children & Waterfront Safety Lakeside Cottage Retreat is located directly on the water. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times when near the lake, dock, shoreline, kayaks, canoe, fire pit, or other outdoor areas. There is no lifeguard on duty. Guests assume responsibility for determining whether lake and weather conditions are appropriate for water activities. Dock & Lake Use of the lake, dock, shoreline, and waterfront amenities is at your own risk. Please use caution because docks and outdoor surfaces may become slippery when wet. Do not dive from the dock unless you have personally determined that conditions and water depth are safe. Please do not leave children unattended on the dock. Kayaks & Canoe Kayaks, canoe, paddles, and related equipment are provided for guest enjoyment. Life jackets should be worn while using watercraft. Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. Please return all kayaks, canoe, paddles, and life jackets to their designated locations after use. Do not leave watercraft unsecured in the lake or along the shoreline. Guests may be responsible for the replacement cost of lost or damaged watercraft, paddles, life jackets, or equipment when damage results from misuse or failure to properly secure the equipment. Fishing Fishing is permitted from the property. No fishing license required. Please dispose of fishing line, hooks, bait containers, and other fishing materials safely. Never leave hooks or fishing line where children, pets, wildlife, or other guests could encounter them. Fire Pit The fire pit may be used when weather conditions and local burn restrictions allow. Never leave a fire unattended. Children must be supervised around the fire pit. Before leaving the area or going to bed, completely extinguish the fire. Please do not burn trash, plastics, cans, glass, or other inappropriate materials. Outdoor Equipment & Games Please return outdoor games, paddles, life jackets, cornhole equipment, ping-pong equipment, and other amenities to their proper locations after use. If something is damaged or stops working, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address it. Furniture Please do not move indoor furniture outside. If you move lightweight furniture during your stay, please return it to its original location before checkout. Do not move beds or other large pieces of furniture. Pets Pets are permitted only when they are included in the reservation or approved by the host in advance. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after approved pets and for any pet-related damage beyond normal wear. Airbnb’s applicable policies regarding service animals remain in effect. Parking Please park only in designated parking areas. Do not park on neighboring property, lawns, septic areas, or in locations that block neighboring driveways or road access. Exterior Security Cameras For the protection of our guests and property, disclosed exterior security cameras may be present outside the home. There is one camera located at the carport entrance. There are no cameras inside the home or in private interior spaces. No Commercial Use Without Approval Professional photography, videography, commercial productions, photo shoots, business events, classes, workshops, or other commercial use of the property require prior written approval from the host. Mail & Deliveries Please do not use the property address to receive personal mail or establish residency. Package or grocery deliveries during your stay are at the guest’s own risk. The host cannot be responsible for packages that are delayed, misplaced, or delivered after checkout. Septic & Plumbing Please flush toilet paper only. Do not flush wipes — including wipes labeled “flushable” — paper towels, feminine products, diapers, grease, or other materials. Please notify us immediately if you notice a plumbing issue. Trash Please place all household trash in the designated trash containers. Do not leave trash, food, cans, bottles, fishing materials, or other items around the yard, dock, shoreline, or lake. Damage or Missing Items Accidents happen. If something is damaged, broken, stained, or lost during your stay, please contact us promptly. Guests may be responsible for the reasonable repair or replacement cost of damage or missing items beyond normal wear and tear, in accordance with Airbnb’s policies. Amenities & Weather Because this is a waterfront property, weather and lake conditions can occasionally affect outdoor amenities. Kayaks, canoe, dock access, fire pit use, outdoor games, internet service, utilities, and other amenities may occasionally become temporarily unavailable because of weather, maintenance, safety concerns, outages, or circumstances outside the host’s control. Please contact us immediately if you encounter a problem so we have an opportunity to help. Check-In & Checkout Please observe the check-in and checkout times listed on your reservation. Early check-in or late checkout must be approved in advance, additional fees may apply. Please do not remain at the property after checkout without host approval, as our cleaning team needs adequate time to prepare the home for our next guests. Before You Leave Before checkout, please: • Place trash in the designated containers. • Return furniture and games to their proper locations. • Return kayaks, canoe, paddles, and life jackets to their designated areas. • Make sure fires are completely extinguished. • Close and secure doors and windows. • Let us know about anything that was damaged or needs attention.
